Sera (evening)
During the year I lived in Rome, I passed St. Peter's basilica numerous times. On this particular evening I was wandering around still newly in awe of the city's grandeur, for I had just arrived that week, and the twilight sky had marvelously deepened into this stunning mediterranean blue. I'm not sure I ever again saw Rome covered with quite this same shade of sapphire.
